- Minutes
of August meeting were approved.
- Muriel
reported that 65 adults and 18 children attended the Mesa BBQ on September
8th, for a total of 83. There were
8 No Shows. With the help of
donations of beer from Deuk Lee and miscellaneous food items supplied by
chefs Tina and Bob Blum, the deficit was $368.70, taken from the Mesa
budget.
- Muriel
is updating information for a new Mesa directory.
- Dayton
reported that he sawed off the water pipe that intruded onto the JPL trail
off Lower Stardust.
- Joe
Bergen reported that, with the help of two laborers, he is almost finished
repairing the shed gate on Starlight Mesa Lane.
- A bee
hive on the hill between Starlight Mesa Lane and Mariners View has been
destroyed, at a cost of $195.
- The
cost of planting a new oak tree in the putting green, as required by the
City as a replacement for the tree removed near Merita Place will be $475,
plus extra to remove the stump of a dead tree.
- Joe
reported that many of the new plants on the Starlane slope have been eaten
by deer. They will be replaced by
plants not favored by deer.
- Steve
is working at getting our pool license renewed.
- Muriel
reported that the cause of the recent leak in the pool filter was just a
loose screw, thus no expense to fix.
- The
next meeting of the Board will be at 7:30 PM, Monday, October 15 at the
home of Dayton Jones.
Respectfully submitted,
Muriel Horacek
