Minutes of Board Meeting,

September 14, 2010

7:00 PM at the pool

Present:  Board members:  Joe Bergen, John Kim, Steven Low, Muriel Horacek, Scott Swanson

--Minutes from the August 12th meeting were approved.

--Treasurer’s report:

            --management company proposal was discussed

            --there is still a resident who is in arrears more than $3000.

            --John is working on the budget, with input from TMEI and Joe Bergen for gardening costs

--Maintenance report:

            --the purchase of a table and bench for the putting green was approved

            --Due to unsatisfactory servicing after our long-term pool man retired, it was approved by email on September 4 to switch to a new company. 

--The new pool company started on September 12^th.  He agreed to maintain our old rate of $275/month through 2010, and $300/month starting in January 2011.

--Muriel reported that there were 22 private parties scheduled this year, plus the private swim team lessons on Sundays from 8 AM to 10 AM, and toddler lessons on Sundays from 11:30 to 12 Noon.

--Scott sent a letter to Deuk Lee thanking him for his generous donation of beer for the BBQ.

--Total attendance at the BBQ was 94, including  68 Adults and Children 12 & over, 23 Children 2 to 11, and 3 children under two years of age.

Expenses were $2085.04, and receipts $1398.

            We are grateful for several families who made donations beyond the ticket price, or purchased tickets when they knew they couldn’t attend.

--The annual Starlight Mesa meeting will be held at La Canada Country Club on Thursday, November 18.

--The next Board meeting will be on Wednesday, October 6 at 7:30 PM at the pool.
