Board of Governors’ Meeting

 June 13, 2006

At the home of Hank Smither

Present:  Michael Durfee, Muriel Horacek, Bill Imbriale, Hank Smither

Guest:     Steve Gutierrez, SMG

At the request of the Board, Steve gave a report on what SMG would do if they increased their management services for Starlight Mesa HOA.  The primary focus would be to improve landscaping.  One suggestion was to increase the planting on slopes above Starlane, which would cut down the costs of yearly weed control. 

When asked his opinion on trespassing problems at our pool, he replied that other HOA’s in the area have the same problem. 

1. Minutes from the May meeting were approved.
2. Treasurer reported that outstanding bills have been paid.
3. Maintenance:

        --Congratulations to Jodie and Michael for the pool repairs

        --the faucet in ladies bathroom has been repaired

        --the sink in men’s bathroom will be replaced

        --flowers have been planted along the pool fence, which had been eaten by deer

        --four motion sensor lights have been installed – three by the pool and one at tennis courts

        --we still have a problem of pool gates left unlocked

        --Hank has installed solar lights on two of the old fixtures – by pool and tennis

        --14 chairs from the storage area were cleaned by Jodie and Muriel and are available for use             at the pool, lawn or tennis courts

        --landscaping has been completed on the left side of the Mesa entrance

4. The Reserve Study has been ordered, with inspection to take place June 15
5. Michael Durfee is coordinating the Mesa BBQ with Hanjoo Kim

The next meeting will be Tuesday, July 18 at 7:30 PM at the home of Muriel Horacek, 185 Starlight Crest Drive.
