Minutes of the

Starlight Mesa Homeowners’ Association

Board of Governors’ Meeting

 April 18, 2006

At the home of Bill Imbriale

Present:  Michael Durfee, Muriel Horacek, Bill Imbriale, Jodie Kendall, Hank Smither

1. Minutes from the last meeting were approved.

2. Pool bids:  Hank presented a cost analysis of the three bids received.  Jodie had called previous clients and that Canyon Country had excellent references.  It was the median bid, so she will try to get the price lowered.  It was agreed that the work should include new border tile and patio deck repair.

3.  The last reserve study estimated pool costs less because it was done several years ago.  A new reserve study will be ordered as soon as we know the costs of the current pool work.

4. Jodie reported on the cost of a security service to patrol the pool/tennis area for from 9 PM to 5 AM.  It was approved that we sign a contract with Post Alarm Systems for $250/mo. for three months.

5. Muriel reported that the No Smoking signs at the pool have been torn down, and the large sign on the far side of the pool listing restrictions is faded and out-of-date.  Jodie will have new signs made.

6. Hank will talk to the resident on Merita Place concerning our trees damaging her wall.  He will also contact another resident on Merita Place who is complaining about weeds on Mesa property.

7. Muriel reported that the Easter Egg Hunt had to be cancelled due to rain.  Rose Hu Guo, who was planning it, delivered some of the eggs, etc. that she had purchased to the eight children who had signed up.  Rose agreed to do the Hunt next year, too.

8. It was agreed to have a Korean BBQ this year, and the date set for Saturday, September 9th.  Muriel will speak to Keum Soon Kim for advice.

The next meeting will be at 7:30 PM on Tuesday, May 16 at the home of Michael Durfee,

210 Starlight Crest Drive.

Respectfully submitted,

Muriel Horacek
