Board of Governors’ Meeting

 December 12,  2006

Hank asked the ’07 Board members to describe their background.

Steve described the Mesa relationship with SMG and the additional duties involved in the new contract, which was signed tonight by the ’06 Board members.  This will be effective January 1, 2007.   Steve explained that the cost of planting and watering additional plants on the common area slopes will be offset by the $25,000 per year we now pay for weed clearance.  He showed photos of ground cover requiring little water.  He will get approval for these plantings from the Weed Abatement Agency and the Fire Department.  Steve then left and the Joint Board members continued the meeting.

1. Minutes from the Board meeting on November 14 and the Annual Meeting on November 15 were approved.

2. The 2007 Operating Budget was approved.

3. Hank presented a list of Carry-Over maintenance items to be considered by the new Board in 2007. 

4.  In accordance with a request from the Mesa Water Company, it was agreed that Michael would call Jose to have the gardeners turn off all sprinklers from December 16 through 20.  He did so during the meeting.

The first meeting of the ’07 Board will be at Charles Berryman’s house on Wednesday, January 17 at 7:30 PM.
